While researching at the L.A. Central Library, I found these
BERINGER/BERNINGER births in John T. Humphrey's book, "Montgomery Co.

I believe the BERLINGER and BERNINGER group are the same family (excpt
for maybe the last BERLINGER entry), and are the ancestors of the
BERNINGER family that is found in Columbia Co. after 1812. I seem to be
the only one researching this particular line of BERNINGERs, but maybe
there is someone this will help.

Here's the KEY to the Church numbers:
9--New Hanover Lutheran--records begin 1740
10--Falkner's Swamp Reformed in New Hanover--records begin 1747
14--Indian Creek Reformed, also known as Little Zion Lutheran,
Franconia--records begin 1753
