I have John Paul Barringer, "Pioneer Paul" that came to America 1743 to Philly
PA. He married Anna Elizabeth Eisman/Iseman, daughter of Caspar Iseman and
Marie Crete. They had two children: Catherine 24 Nov 1750 and John Barringer
22 Jun 1752, both born in Wyoming Valley PA. John Paul Barringer was 22 years
old when he came to this country and by 1753 he settled Dutch Buffalo Creek in
NC. In 1778 he had acres in Mecklenburg Co NC. In 1793 he was with the NC
Legislature, he was captured by the British and held in prison Camden SC. He
was a promoter of formation of Catawba County, cut from Mecklenburg in 1792.
John Paul lost his first wife and married Catherine Blackwelder and had a
large second family. My line is with John Paul's son John who married
Christiana Catrina Killian. This John and Christiana's first son was John L.
20 Sep 1779 born Cabarrus Co NC. John L. md Catherine Moyer and they had a son
John Mathias 1803 Cabarrus. I descend from John L.'s brother Paul 1776-1845
and Elizabeth Peck. Paul and Elizabeth had son John Daniel 18 Jul 1815-1851 in
Cabarrus Co NC. My line is from John Daniel's sister Christena Caroline who md
John Bangle 23 Jan 1840 Cabarrus Co NC.
