Hello to all of the Barringer Descendants,

My name is Flora Barrett and I am a descendant of Martin Harkey and
Catherine
( Barringer ???). I have not posted my line yet. I will be doing that
in the next few days.

In reading the post from all of you about not finding Catherine Barringer
listed as a child of anyone, I was reminded of when I was searching for
another relative. My father, whose mother was Lydia Harkey, had a
favorite Aunt that he called Delphina. When I searched the records there
was no Delphina anywhere.

It took me years to find her and her name was Sarah Ann "CATHERINE"
Delphina Harkey. I wonder if we should search for that name among the
Barringers? Could our Catherine have had more than one or two given
names? Were there any girls named Sarah Ann or Delphina that fit the
age bracket? Was my Sarah Ann Catherine Delphina named for her? My
Sarah Ann Catherine Delphina Harkey was listed on several census as Sarah
Ann, and one as Catherine but never with all four of her given names.

Just a thought to throw our for all of you. I like to muddy the water.
