the historical records of the Mexican states of Chichuahua and Sonora might give you a good place to start also church records would state race. I had both my Grandfathers tell me of their Apache roots as in Oral History. I do know the Lipan, Mimbreno, and Mescalero were prominent in the area of West Texas and Southern New Mexico and Arizona. It is sad to say that at one time to be Apache meant slavery or death. I hope you find what you seek. I am Mimbreno(Warmsprings), Coyantero(Whitemountain), Lipan. I hope Yall find what yall Seek.
