Thomas Ayer had a son named Zacheus and a grandson named Zacheus...the grandson's father was Lewis Malone Ayer.

The grandson Zacheus is stated to be buried in Ayer Cemetery in SC. Recently, the cemetery was put on Findagrave.com and some of those old photos were posted. Thought you find that interesting. I did.

Yes, there is a problem with the McGee with the lack of documentation. Most is based on verbal history through the years and doesn't hold much in lineage societies.

Thomas and his father in law Frances Malone were both patriots in the American Revolutionary War.
