Hello Liz and everyone,
I am so happy to see the traffic coming through on the Ayers mailing list. I will copy the Ayer list in this email to hopefully stir up some traffic.
Liz, I would be very grateful for any pictures you have or could supply. The pictures of the graves near Ayer's Village and in the Haverhill area are probably of most interest. Yes, I am aware that Cornet is a military prefix and in my genealogy program it is listed as so. However when exported to an html file it automatically adds it to the beginning of the name, as it did with Serg., Dea., ect. I will make a note of it on the site to clear up any confusion.
I have not done much research with the Ayer's that went into New Jersey, then on to Virginia, and then on across the South. However, my main goal is to cover as many descendants of the immigrant John Ayer of Haverhill that I possibly can. In my dream world it will be fairly simple, however in the real world it will take a lot of time, effort, and help for other sources such as yourself.
I look forward to hearing more out of you Liz, as well as hearing from others!
Best,
Janson

I'm not certain of its name. The pictures I have are from the Pentucket Cemetery, and the person who took them said it was in the town of Haverhill "where all the Ayers's are buried." I'm assuming that is the same cemetery, but can't be sure. >My Ayres are supposed to have come from the Haverhill group, I am>guessing about 1700?? but I have no proof. One was born about 1800 and the other in 1844, so they're both too late for your Lewis. And their Ayres family was already in upstate New York, not still in New Jersey. I do have a Benajah Ayer born in 1715 in Woodbridge, New Jersey, who could possibly be the same person as your Benijah, but I don't have any descendants for him.> Internal Virus Database is out-of-date.> Checked by AVG Free Edition.> Version: 7.1.405 / Virus Database: 268.11.6/428 - Release Date: 8/25/06> > > > -------------------------------> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
