Jeanne, I have information about Ann Peggy Ayer (no Margaret). She was born in 1797 to Zacheus Ayer and Sara David Ayer. Her grandparents were Thomas Ayer & Sara Frances Malone Ayer. Thomas was born in Ireland and came to Virginia about 1740. He played an important role in the partisan warfare of the South during the American Revolution.
My information shows no children for Ann Peggy Ayer and Gabriel Richards. My connection with her is that she was a sister of Alexander Outlaw Ayer, my great great grandfather.
He moved his family from Roane County, Tennessee, to Daviess County, Kentucky in about 1830. Many of his descendants still live in that area of Kentucky.
