I have a Russell Hopewell Ayer b. Feb. 28, 1868 Port Greville Cumberland Co., NS to Andrew Ayer & Amelia Spicer. Russell Ayer had a brother Andrew Harding Ayer who was my ggg grandfather. The only thing I have for Russell is a marriage to a Harriet "Hattie" Barteaux (d/o Daniel & Annie) May 23, 1893 Advocate, Cumberland Co., NS. This is from another person's transcription. A few of the Ayers from Andrew Ayer & Amelia Spicer's line did go to Maine from what I have been told. If these are the people you are seeking, I look forward to hearing from you.
