Howdy Bill; Concerning your e-mail about Laforest,s ancestry, I would have
to say any thing is possible, Dean Is thinking along those same lines., I
quote his file for what its worth,Name, Lura Quint, Born in Dexter, Maine,
Penobscot County, Marriage 1 Charles Ayer, Born in Dexter, Maine,, No
dates. Notes; Data from marriage and death records of son Laforest Albert
Ayer, Born in Dexter, Maine August 21, 1889.No other data was found in the
Maine archives, that is where he got this much in
July,1990............According to the record from the Allen County Public
Library in 1910 Laforest was listed as a boarder with the Bartlett Luce
family, He married Althea 28 September 1910 in Salem, Maine
.What possible reason would he have to give false names, Just doesn,t make
sense, If Charles was born in Dexter there must be some record of it
somewhere, Taxpayers records, land deeds something like that., I am being as
open as possible here Bill and want to get to the bottom of this as bad as
