I am wondering whether my husbands ancestors could have had a child that died at Port Fairy and was never recorded on the BDM's. The surname is WHITEOAK and they, being George and wife Mary Ann arrived Port Phillip on board the Cornwall on 11 Aug 1848 with 2 children. They were bounty passengers George & his family were assigned to employer John Richie of Port Fairy for 12 months Could anyone tell me anything about John Richie or maybe lookup parish records for 1848 - 1851 Childs name was Joseph thankyou.
