hello Helen
My Dad Les Page was born in Trangie in 1926 followed by sisters Joan and
Barbara. Their parents were Ted and Veronica /Ronnie Page nee Fitzgerald.
Ted was from Coonamble and Ronnie's family from Dubbo. Ted had the local
barber/Tobacco/Snooker room until a fire burnt him out in the 1926. Sadly
Dad's Mum Ronnie died in Dubbo hospital in 1936 from Septicemia and left Dad
ten and his sister 8 and six.
I would be very interested in any information you have of a fire in Trangie
between 1926 and 1940.
cheers
Peter Page
