One suggestion is to check AGCI (Australasian Genealogical Computer Index) compiled by the Society of Genealogists, Sydney. The Newcastle Local Studies Library have a copy and so do the Newcastle Family History Library, in Elder Street, Lambton.

I'm interested in the names Johnson, Munns, Gilbert, Deas, Harrison and Grace for Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. Happy researching Nancy.
