there are a couple of good books that are general ly available, and will
give you a good start.
Try Colonel MURRAY's book on the Australians in the Boer War: that lists
most Australians who served in Australian units. The war was over during
1902.

I heard as a young person that my grandfather Edward Mould DODDS fought in
the Boer War and just wish to confirm this. He could have enlisted from
either Western N.S.W or western Qld Australia. He was born in Hay N.S.W but
moved to Broken Hill from there to Cloncurry Qld in 1902.
