Yes, that's definitely the easy stuff. Thomas and Dicey were born in SC,
moved to GA, then went by wagon train to Arkansas in 1852. I know Thomas's
ancestors and the names of the children of Thomas and Dicey. What I don't
know and would really like to know is the name of Dicey's father and also
the maiden name of her mother, if possible. I believe this information is
not on Ancestry. On the Census records of SC, the only possibility I can
find looks like Teen Rider in 1830 but is indexed as Ten Rider. He's a good
possibility since he lives there with all those other folks who moved to GA
and then to Arkansas, same page with Christopher Whisenant, father of Mary
Whisenant Bates; also Thompson Shed, etc. However, there are no other
records for someone named Teen or Ten Rider. Dead end. Dicey was born in
1815 and married in 1833, and that seems to be all I'll find.
Name: Dicey Dicey Spouse: J Rider Thomas Parents: R Standridge John ,
Nanc Birth Place: SC Birth Date: 1815 Marriage Date: 1833 Death Date:
1880
See when I read this record the first thing I see is that is that the
parents are Standridge, any possiblity your Dicy Rider was married more then once?
Sounds like the records you want maybe out of South Carolina though and not
Arkansas. Good Luck! Stac
