Joyce-
This is exactly what I needed.  I have a family record document with Adams names listed, but I did not have the census to show how they were related.  The 1860 names listed in your email below are on the list in addition to others' names.   Thanks so much for the lead.  Thomas Adams has been such a common name that it has been difficult to be certain until you sent this.  Thanks so much,  Gina

Hi Gina... The 1880 Lunenburg Twp census has F.A. Adams age 30 Born in Ga., Wife C.T.L. age 35 born Tn. with Son E.B. The LaCrosse Twp ;has a George Adams age 23, born Ga.., wife Sophia age 20 Born Ga. son, Augustus age 1.

1900 Census list Thomas age 51  born Ga.and wife Charlotte age 56 living with son E. Adams and wife, Jennie.

The 1860 Georgia Census, Murray County, Georgia Militia District 972 List: #307 Adams, Charles 37 born SC. Farmer
Wife Nancy  age 32 born SC
Dau. Susan  age 13  born Ga.
Son  THOMAS  age 11  born GA.
Son George  age 9      born  SC.(?)
Dau Catherine  age 4  born Ga
Son Nelson G.  age 1  born Ga.

Looked briefly in the 1870 Ga census for Charles or Thomas...didnt see them...They may have gone to another state if their daughter Susan married  and migrated with her husbands family....just a thought...

Later...Joyce

Adams and was hoping that someone might have a lead so that I can identify his parents.   He was born Jan 4, 1849 possibly in Alabama and died Dec 6, 1929 in Byers, TX.  He married Charlotte Temple Landers and had one child Eligha Roland Adams.   We have a copy of his death certificate, however it lists parents' names as "unknown."   Thomas and Charlotte lived in Lunenburg, AR until her death in 1902 and he moved to Texas with his son Eligha and his wife Berta.   I know that he is related to Rose Adams (second wife to William Edward Marchant), but I am unsure if he is a sibling or a cousin.  My 96 year old grandmother remembers her great-grandfather very well and we would like to tell her more information as well as add more to our family history.  Thanks so much.  Gina Henry
