Obituary - Minerva Cooper from The White River Current

Minerva Cooper of Mountain Home, daughter of Gerald and Stella Cotham
Chambliss, was born December 20, 1929, in Calico Rock. She died May
23, 2003 at her residence. She was 73 years old.

She married Owen F. Cooper March 5, 1955, at Melbourne. They moved to
Mountain Home in 1960. Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker. She was also a
member of the First Baptist Church in Mountain Home.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband, Owen F. "Bud" Cooper of the
home; two sons, Mark F. Cooper of Mountain Home and Owen "Brett" Cooper
of Walnut Ridge. She was preceded in death by her parents; two
sisters, Ruth Fern Estes and Robbie Nell Clifft.

Funeral services were held May 27, 2003, at First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Treat, Eddie Goodwin, Elden Goodwin, Jeep
Chick, Hugh McClain, and John Self. Honorary pallbearers were Darrell
Knowles, Carl Cook, Dick House, Lynn Blevins, Bob Stewart, Jim Davis,
Don Rosa, Price Harned, Jim Holland, Jerry Frie, Frank Huckaba, and
Garvin Carroll.

Interment was at Baxter Memorial gardens under the direction of Roller
funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mountain Home.
