Received a request from the King Family to help support a strong
family tradition that there is Native American (Cherokee) heritage in
the family. I have looked at some of the heritage but have not found
the evidence they want. Maybe some of the female members of the
family had some Native American "Cherokee" blood. Anyone researching
this family that might have information, appreciate your help. Here
is how I see the heritage they question. Help me if I have missed
something here.
John Henry King b. 1902, MCAR
+ Elvie Shew 1906 AR
Walter Edwin King b. 2 Dec 1881 MCAR
+Sarah M. Pilgrim b. Sep 1883 MCAR
Christopher H. King b. 10 Jun 1854 AR
+Mary Mollie Dodson b. 17 Nov 1849 MCAR
Robert W. "Bob" King b. 8 Sep 1822, Gibson, TN
+Matilda Bell (First Wife) b. ca 1820, Gibson, TN
William Pace King b. ca 1795 ( Prob TN)
+Susannah Mason b. ca 1795, Orange, NC
Nathaniel King b. ca 1753 NC
+Janet Turner (First Wife) b. ca 1761, Orange NC
John King b. ca 1724 Bristol Parish, Prince George, VA
+Hannah Davis b. ca 1730 Luneburg, VA
John King b. ca 1686, Isle of Wight, VA
+Hannah House b. ca 1700 Isle of Wight, VA
I quit looking here didn't expect to find much Native American
Cherokee before that. I have included Marion, Baxter and Izard
Counties as the family overlapped in these areas.
