Dec 30, 1921 - Age Woman Dead
Mrs Oma Porterfield, an aged lady who has resided in the Pleasant Valley
neighborhood, died at the home of her daughter last Tuesday afternoon, the
27th, at an advanced age. Mrs Porterfield has been an invalid for about
fifteen years and for the past five years has been bed-fast. She was past 70
years of age. Deceased has spent all her life in this section, having spent
the greater part of her life in the vicinity of Wiseman. A son, a daughter
and a sister survive. Mrs Porterfield was a most devout Christian, being a
member of the Baptist church. Burial took place near Oxford Thursday, the
funeral being conducted by Rev. M. C. Burton.
