Apr 19, 1962 - Mrs Jeffery Dies At Wichita Kansas

Marette M. Gillihan Jeffery of Wichita, Kansas was born at Twin
Creek, Arkansas, April 28, 1879 and departed this life April 9, 1962 at the
age of 83 years, 11 months and 12 days. She was united in marriage to the
late Uncle Joe Jeffery Jan 2, 1898, who preceded her in death Oct 3, 1961.
To this union 11 children were born, one of whom died at infancy.

She professed her faith in Christ at an early age.

She is survived by six sons, Willie and Johnnie of Melbourne,
Martin of Calico Rock, Cecil of Wenatchee, Wash., Leslie of Moxee City,
Wash., Otta of Wichita, Kan., Julia Underwood of Garden, Dovie Rhoden of
Judsonia City, Kan., and Marie Musgrove of Winslow, Ariz.; 31 grandchildren
and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2: p.m. Friday, April 13, at the
Melbourne Baptist Church with Rev. Hugh Cooper officiating.

Interment was made in the Combs Cemetery with hall Funeral Home
in charge.

Pallbearers were Weldon Campbell, Wayburn Watson, Chester
Harmon, Lloyd Jeffery, Junior Jeffery and Carrol Jeffery.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs Lizzie Watson of
Melbourne, Mrs Mary Copeland of Calico Rock, and Mrs Lou Sanders, Dolph;
three brothers, Ed and Clem Gillihan of Melbourne and Eller Gillihan of Twin
Creek.
