Melbourne Times - Aug 9, 1962 - Johnny Jeffery Dies Suddenly
Johnny Lloyd Jeffery died suddenly with heart attack while
working on a house. Johnny was born December 18, 1903 departed this life
August 2, 1962 at the age of 58 years, 7 months, 15 days. He was born and
spent his entire life in Izard County. He was a farmer and carpenter.

Johnny is the son of the late J. E. (Uncle Joe) and Marette
Jeffery. He is survived by his wife, Nora of the home, one son Lloyd, two
grandchildren, Renie and Randy, five brothers, Willie of Melbourne, Martin
of Calico Rock, Cecil of Wenatchee, Wash., Leslie of Moxie City, Wash., Otto
of Wichita, Kansas, four sisters, Mellie Richardson of Wichita, Kansas,
Julia Underwood of Garden City, Kansas, Dovie Rhoden of Judsonia, Arkansas,
Marie Musgrove of Winslow, Arizona, a lot of nieces and nephews and a host
of friends and relatives.

Funeral was at the Melbourne Baptist Church Sat. August 4th at 2
p.m. with Bro. Hugh Cooper and Bro. Remmell Rowden officiating. Interment
was at the Combs Cemetery under the direction of Davies Batesville Funeral
Home, Batesville, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were: Joe Campbell, Weldon Campbell, Wayburn Watson,
G. H. Miller, Jr., Burt Tate and Ernest Wood.
