Evans Craig Floyd, 87, of Melbourne, Arkansas died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in Batesville. She was born on March 18, 1922 in Mount Pleasant, Arkansas.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William Dean Floyd; two sisters: Ruth Pierce of Jonesboro and Claudine Bible and her husband, Dale of Batesville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Evans was preceded in death by her parents, L. O. and Mae Craig.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Melbourne with Ricky Burke and Doyne Robertson officiating.

Burial will follow the service at Violet Hill Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, Hwy. 9 Spur, Melbourne, AR 72556 in memory of Evans Floyd.
