Jim, that is an error -- the way I understand it.  Living at Shady Grove (community near Buford), where he died, the Hensley Smith Cemetery was nearby, and that is where he was buried.  He was quite good friends with Hensley SMITH and they were fellow Primitive Baptists.  Apparently the property where Hensley Smith Cemetery was located changed hands, and the cemetery area was "plowed" and used as pasture and farm land.  I believe it was later known as the WELLS property.
 
This really grieves me, as he was ever vigilant about leaving his descendants information on their ancestry.  As I've told it many times, you may recall that my aunt Cleora Helen KING would visit him and he dictated a narrative of his life.  Aunt Cleora, not yet married, was teaching school at Shipp's Ferry, Advance, Lone Rock, and other locations.  He dedicated this narrative to Aunt Cleora but he had a preamble addressed to his descendants.
 
There's been some "twitter" that some of his sons and grandsons from Texas removed him and took his body to Texas.  One of his grandsons at San Antonio was an attorney, and his family called him "Uncle Fed"-- believe he was a congressman.  I don't think that happened.
 
A lady named Stella JACKSON knew him well.  Stella, Treasurer of the Baxter County Historical Society, and I corresponded and visited on the telephone, before her death.  I believe if she had any inkling of such "removal" happening, she would have told me.  She said that her parents and WAR were quite good friends.
 
I'm sure you remember that he even tried as best he could to give information on Anna Martha {MORRIS} MONTGOMERY's family.  He later married Salena JONES, who was about 50 and had never married.  The very day they married, her nephew Charles JONES was born and when he grew up and married, he married Lula BAGWELL.  Of course, WAR and Salena were able to take care of themselves until they got quite old.  But Charlie and Lula lived nearby and lovingly took care of both of them until they died.  They had sons who were around them all the time.
 
One of these JONES sons has descendant who told me that WAR made a loom for "Aunt Salena."  When Charlie and Lula's sons were young they were told to not disturb the loom.  At some World's Fair, one of these sons saw the loom and recognized it because it had some sort of special carving on the frame.  I need to contact the Smithsonian and find out if it is among their holdings.
 
WAR was an accomplished and capable person.  He was a shoemaker.  He wrote that when he finally enlisted in CSA that his neighbors could hardly do without him because he had been making shoes for their soldier sons.  Soon after he enlisted, he was made Second Lieutenant.  He was born in 1825, so he was in his mid-forties!
 
At the time he and Anna Martha were married, they lived in Howell County, Missouri, where he built some houses, and then roundhouses for the railroad.  He said they had "boarders" so Anna Martha ran that.  Then, he describes how he followed the train coming down to Hardy, Arkansas, where he continued to build for the railroad -- and also built a ferry boat.  He couldn't be there to run the ferry himself, so he sold it for $125.
 
He wrote poetry, some of which I have.  His heritage and his family was very important to him.  I've even thought of having some "grave witching" done to see if anything can be located.  I imagine that he was buried wearing his CSA medal(s).  Those old veterans wore them, as my great-grandfather has one in the lapel of his suit in pictures.  They were both in Cavalry unit under General Nathan Bedford FORREST.
 
As far as I'm concerned, you can never "muddy" the water.  I'm always glad to have the opportunity to tell how proud I am of my RIDGWAYs!
