Have two requests, please, at your convenience. Thank you. Peggy Truesdell
1] Benjamin Franklin LUTHER -- survived, but died within year or two after 1865 in Marion County, Arkansas -- my great-grandfather. His brother George Washington LUTHER served, survived, and is buried near Seminole, Oklahoma. They were probably born in Clay County, Indiana. Hoping to learn their father's name.
2] William Lee Roy McWHERTER, b. Weakley County, Tennessee, first wife Caroline TODD died soon after birth of daughter Lydia Ann Belle. She married my great-grandfather John Almus RIDGWAY. For years, all I could find was "Died on West bank of Mississippi." Have recently viewed his CSA (federal) gravestone in Boone County on findagrave. He was living in part of Marion County that became Boone County after 1874. He had married Cola Ann "Colie" BUCKLEY, from my RIDGWAY line, and they had couple sons born in Arkansas.
"Any" information would be appreciated. I would be so grateful for your help.
