It covers all counties. It only includes those who registered their births - either for Social Security Cards or some other reason that they needed a birth certificate. "The 168,000 names listed in this index were born between 1856 and 1906. People born in Arkansas before 1914 had the opportunity to register their birth beginning in 1942. This index created by volunteers of the Arkansas Genealogical Society, of births that are 100 years old, allows the researcher to obtain copies of the certificate......" The important thing here is that it only covers those people who registered their birth. If a person was born and died before needing a certificate for SS or something else, they wouldn't be included. So, not all births are included. I have Vol 1-V - I understand there is a newer one available, but I haven't ordered it. Cost was $15 I believe. I know if was very reasonable.
