I have notebook of descendants of John MOORE, b. VA, d. Davidson County, TN, and wife Abigail SMITH.  It shows they had two sons:  John MOORE [no data] and Silas MOORE.
 
Silas MOORE, b. 27 October 1809, Davidson County, TN; d. 11 February 1897 in TN at 87 years of age; body interred 1897 in Weakley County, TN.
 
Silas MOORE m. abt. 1831 Matilda KENNEDY in prob. Henry County, TN  Matilda, dau of Sampson KENNEDY and Nancy KILLEBREW, was b. 1815 in SC.  She died 1861 in Weakley County, TN.  [10 children]
 
Matilda KENNEDY was sister of my great-great-grandmother Evangeline Killebrew "Angeline" KENNEDY, first wife [mother of 15] of William Alexander RIDGWAY.
 
Silas MOORE married Sophronia H. BROGDON in Henry County, TN 28 December 1861.  Sophronia was born in NC 9 September 1827.  She was dau of David BROGDON and Winnefred [mn unknown].  Sophronia died 5 January 1894 in Weakley County, TN at 66 years of age.  Silas and Sophronia are buried at Moore Cemetery, Weakley County, TN.  [4 children]
 
My notebook of 67 pages lists descendants of Silas MOORE.
 
The MOORE and PENTECOST families in West Tennessee are intermarried over and over with my KILLEBREW, KENNEDY, RIDGWAY, HART, ATKINS, etc.  I am not a known descendant of MOORE or PENTECOST.
 
I haven't been able to connect my information on allied PENTECOSTs to those in Lewis County, TN and Howell County, MO and Izard County, AR shown in Roger's post of May 2, 2006 (filed in my book).

I did not find that I filed the obit that Mary C. posted ARIZARD about a lady whose mother was a Pentecost. I believe the lady whose obit it was----was located in Independence Co. AR.

But what I did find was this!
