I also found the land record in Washington Co. -- wish I could find a
marriage record but so far no luck.

I knew she would have married pre 1870, IF it is indeed their dau. in that
census. Could have been a boarder, I just don't think so, though.
I found a land record for Drury in Wash. Co., AR, 1839; didn't think to look
in MO. The reason we even had his last name for our records, we found a
land record for his wife Mary, 1875, IZ co., "widow of Drury C. Oakley
deceased"; plus the 1880 census.

I'd REALLY REALLY like to know if Allen M. Oakley was possibly Drury's
father???. He bought!!!!! land in Wash. Co., too, from 1827-1843. Seems he
may have been in the bus. of buying & selling property.
