MELBOURNE--Ervin Adam Gillihab, 75, died Wednesday, Aug 4, 1999 in a Batesville hospital.
Born Jan 31, 1924 at Twin Creek, he was the son of the late Owen M and Lilley Gulley Gillihan. He served in the U S Army during WWII, attaining rank of private first class. During his working years, he was employed by Reynolds Metal as a crane operator. After retirement, he enjoyed working in his woodworking shop, making gifts and puzzles for friends and family. He was an active member and deacon of Melbourne Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Gillihan; three sons, Jim D Gillihan of Vancouver, Wa., Dan G Gillihan and David E Gillihan, both of Longview, Wa.; Hazek Thompson of Mountain View and Maxine Vines of Eudora, Ks.; two brothers, Dallas Gillihan of Melbourne and Otho Ray Gillihan of Ocean Park, Wa.; six grandchildren, Aaron P Gillihan, Kevin A Gillihan, Kyle E Gillihan, Seth K Gillihan, Lynette Ritterodt and Cindy Ritterodt; and four great grandchildren.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Willard Gillihan, Eulon Gillihan and Elmo Gillihan.
Burial will be at Combs Cemetery.
