John Preston Payne died 4 Jan 1898.
William Austin Payne is a grandson. Look at his birth date, b. 1912.
His father was William Mitchell Payne & # 2 wife Clara Jenny Boyd.
William Mitchell Payne was the oldest son of John Peston Payne &
Mary.Elizabeth Taylor.
Mary md 25 Feb 1900 Baxter County, AR Henry K. Trotter.
She d. 29 Jan 1941 in Garvin County, OK.

The intormation on Austin and his wives seems to be correct.
I have a list of all John Preston Payne's children if you would like them.
