Beth,

I have not confirmed that Reuben Denton married to Eliner Harrison is
actually my Reuben other than the name, age and place are correct. Would
the age, place be correct for your Ellender Harrison?

If so--do you think they could have had a daughter born 1820 in Monroe
County, TN?

I go back and read my notes. I'll see if I can find Reuben in the War of
1812.

To me, sure looks like Reuben's widow still in AR in 1860 with dau & 2
granddaughters.

Sharon,
I couldnot relocate your post but it was about marriage of Reuben Denton
(16) and Eliner Harrison Granville, NC   Jan 14, 1804 w/ John Denton,
bondsman

May I ask, have you gotten confirmation that this is your Reuben?
The reason I ask this, I am connected to Harrisons through my very confused,
disputed Moore line (Bernie may remember me bemoaning all this, as they
repeated the same darned names over & over & over plus it being the very
common Moore surname)------but there is a theory line about surname Stark (I
think I remember correctly) about it being James Stark in Granville, NC that
had a daughter married to James Harrison when James Stark died he gave land
plus slaves to his dau, he gave slaves to his son-in-law, James Harrison and
then gave land and slaves to his ?supposed grandson, Benjamin Harrison and
slave (?s) to his ? supposed granddaughter, Ellender Harrison. Do you
suppose this may be the same person?  With a misspelled or abbrev name on a
marriage record?

Let me know if you think this might be connected? I'm pretty sure I've kept
some info on that but if I didn't I'm sure I can back track the info if you
think it is connected.
Beth

P.S. for the 1860 I think I had found a Mary Denton with Elizabeth Denton
appeared these were mother & dau and two girls aged 2 who were Susannah and
Liddy I think it was.

1850 Arkansas Census    Rueben is 62 yrs old with Mary 49, Joseph 14, Samuel
12, Elizabeth 9.
1860 Rueben is not accounted for--suspect he died

Sharon?  Have you found Reuben's widow in 1860?

Bernie
