Earl,
I recieved FTM 2008 as a Christmas gift and after installing it (a friend
provided me with the upgrade), I was still unable to register it; and get it
to work properly. I'd seen the 2006 version of FTM and thought about trying
to pick up a copy of that. Had several relatives stop by and look at the
2008 FTM and agree that it was pathetic and not user freindly.
I finally gave up on the 2008 FTM and no replies to my numerous emails and
attempts to register it...tossed FTM 2008 in the trash. I've been using
paper & pencil and excel & word to track my relatives and my wife's
relatives.
Do you think the 2009 version has the bugs worked out of it??? I don't know
that I have any incentive to purchase it anyway. I'm really unhappy about
the whole experience.
Its almost taken all the joy out of researching my ancestors. I zipped up
all my files, and I've been downloading Medical Clinical Studies on
Orhtopaedics and Cancer, instead.
Mike
