Hi Bernie...I dont know if anyone answered your question on whether
IronPoint Twp was close to the White River, but in Mary Miller's
transcription of the 1860 Izard ct census she states..." This 1860 census
included, in addition to present-day Izard county , parts of the following
counties, Baxter (created in1873. Sharp (created in 1868) , Stone ,
created in 1873), and Cleburne( created from Stone in 1883)......Richwoods,
Blue Mountain and Irons Point, all with P.O. of Richwoods, are located
south, southwest of present-day Mountain View in Stone County."-----Original Message-----
