Sorry to jump in but as you may remember we have discussed
the Luther family before. They came down from Clay County Indiana
just about, if not with, my Ott family. They settled in Marion
County. I am sure you have the records on Benjamin Franklin Luther,
while he was in Co. H, 27th Regt. (Shaler's) Arkansas Infantry,
CSA. On 18 Feb 1863 he was listed as AWOL. My ancestors left about
the same time and joined a Union unit. I have never found where B.F.
Luther joined the Union Forces.
What ever happened to the theory that Sarah Frances Luther,
had two children fathered by William Blair Walker? I thought someone
was working on a DNA test for that. Do you know the outcome? As you
know Blair came to Arkansas with his first wife and (I believe )
married Sarah Frances Luther about 1860?
