Pleasant Peter Finley m. Nancy Caroline McMurtrey b 20 May 1866 d. 9 Apr
1962, Finley Creek cemetery marker. All records from the Finley side of the
family give the wife of John Francis "Hamp" Finley as Nancy D. Garrett,
Cemetery markers in Finley Creek Cemetery in Izard Co. Nancy D. Finley b.
20 Aug 1866 d. 18 Feb 1900. Hamp and Nancy were m. abt 1885. I have not
found Garratt indexed in Izard county in 1880 etc. However, Ellen's Jarrett
family eumerates Nancy D Jarrett age 12 b. GA and sister Sarah Jarrett age
16 b. GA. enumerated in the h/h of Edley Williams, named as nieces. Ellen
and I have a dilemna in determining is it Garratt or Jarrett.

John Francis "Hamp" Finley died 16 Feb 1948 in Floral, AR in the home of is
dau. Adah Finley Carpenter spouse of Asa Cleo Carpenter. According to my
reports there was a Obit in Independence County but I don't have it.
