Vera: thanks for my grandpa's obit, and you got most of the names dead on. Aunt Jeffie spelled
hers with an "i" and Uncle Ray's full name was "Volray". Ray, Thera and Lessie are the only ones
left.

Sorry to have dropped out there for a while, just got home tonight from a 7 day stay in the local
hospital. Some kind of infection, they never did agree on where or what but have been treating
me with IV anitbiotics for several days. Finally agreed to let me come home if I would have an IV
port installed and take daily IV's for a while. Was so glad to get out I agreed to anything.

Will take me a few days to get back up to speed, but I should be able to do most of my stuff, just

Melbourne Times - Jul 30, 1959 – Services Held For Charles A. Blevins
Charles Albert Blevins 75 (unclear) a resident of Violet Hill, died at his home Wednesday. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs Grace Blevins; five daughters, Mrs Jeffe Melton, Batesville, Mrs Zelma Jones, Brockwell, Mrs Thera Rector, Melbourne, Mrs Lessie Johnson, Coloma, Michigan and Mrs Phenia Johnson of Water----, Mich.; four sons, Olar Blevins, Sage, Leonard Blevins, Oxford, Wilson Blevins and Velray Blevins of Violet Hill, 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday at the Violet Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Hugh Cooper and Rev. George H. Howard officiating. Burial was in the Violet Hill Cemetery, with Davies Batesville Funeral Home in Charge.
