I thought it was interesting you mentioned "One-Arm" Smith

My great-grandfather Smith md # 1 Amanda in the middle 1860s in Georgia. She
died soon after giving birth to a daughter, Lena. This daughter got her
Indian rights in Oklahoma (oil wells) because her mother, Amanda was Indian.
I tried finding out more about her mother and family by traceing Lena
(Smith) Trimble. I found there was a woman by the name "One-Arm". I could
not prove she was the grandmother of Lena.

I've never been able to prove any of the Smiths around Norfork kin to the
Smiths around Buford. There were 2 Smith brothers from Georgia who came here
in the 1890s. Both are buried in Baxter County.

My gr-grandfather and # 2 wife's children didn't get the same Indian rights.
