Just about any day is fine with me! I can be flexible if I know in advance. Looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

However, this time I won't take any shortcuts. What the mapping programs call a "major road" between Smithville and Center, which would have knocked perhaps 5 miles off the trip, turned out to be a gravel road that forced us to take a 30-mile detour. Lesson learned -- stick with what you know! Also, having lived on a very flat prairie all my life, I do NOT like to drive in mountains and will do just about anything to avoid doing so.

As for Vera's hula skirt -- I don't think she's ever forgiven me for that!
