I looked for Frank yesterday, didn't find anything that I thought was him.
I'm sending the WW I for James Maryland Smothers, b.26 Feb 1900 lives in
Baxter County.
Guardian Sarah Hand and she is also listed as employer. She lives at Hand,
Baxter County.

Now look at this:
1910 Union, Baxter, Arkansas
William J Hand md 25 48
Sarah E Hand 9 - 8 living 49
William A Hand 19
George E Hand 17
Sallie Hand 15
Leroy E Hand 11
John O Hand 8
Dueard a Hand 3
Jake Smathers nephew 11
Merlin Smathers " 10
Sylvia G Smathers niece 5

The 3 Smothers children & mother were born in AR father in U. S. and William
Hand in AL, rest AR

Tried to find an obit but there was only this:
Baxter Bulletin issue dated Jan 6, 1922
Body returned: Jake Smothers, who was killed in France. Buried in Hand
Cemetery.

Arkansas Death Records show Hand, Sarah Eli. b. abt 1862 d. 17 Jan 1946 in
Izard County.
