Vera,

Going back through old posts sporadically, I noticed the Finley and Carpenter
post. John Finley, the father of Margaret Fanny Finley Carpenter, had the
dates of 1833 - 1910 and one of the four Civil War veteran sons of Isaac and
Hila Martin Finley and Eliza Jane Taylor Finley 1839 - 1907, daughter of Stephen
and Martha Hila Arnold Taylor. So there were some double kinships in that
family with Eliza's older brother, Ben marrying her husband's sister, Mary
Finley. Did have copies of obits that the late Meda Calhoun sent on Eliza and John.
Vera, do any of your obits go back to the 1880s or earlier?
