Bill, I, too, love those raisin pies my Mom used to make. She made the one with vinegar in it. She also, made a pie she called the Bob-Andy pie that was like a cross between a custard and a Pecan without the pecans. Just the gooey part. It was sooo good and very rich.
Nuff pies. Back to the remedies. June mentioned getting splinters out and how they hurt. Did anyone else ever have a "stone-bruise" on their heel? Talk about hurt... I don't remember what my Mom put on there to draw it but it sure worked.
