Girls, I missed this when it was sent.
I don't think that I had realized these were in Izard, I think that I thought Carney was in Fulton. At this point, I'm not sure who is related to whom in these MOORE families. There is raging debate about who our William E. (or William A.) actual parents are. I find myself leaning toward his being child of
William MOORE of Hawkins Co., TN but I don't know whether to think Sarah Jane is his Mother or not see below. Have not been successful in finding this family in 1850 but I'm sure I just have looked completely enough yet.
Bernie, since I haven't found anything later about this sibling of William with the wonderful name, Silvesta (who appears to be female) here. However, I have found a number of black families with the same name used for male children----makes one wonder---huh? Especially, these beautiful MOORE men with their high cheek bones and thin, nicely tanned skins---I think there was definitely Native American in there, if not some black thrown in as well.
Here's what I have
1860 USFedCensus TN, Hawkins Co., DistNo14

Moore, Julia A. 19<1851>fw AtHm TN
Moore, William A. 15<1855>mw AtHm TN
Moore, Silvesta 13<1857>fw AtHm TN
This is as close as I have gotten and it does seem to match
some of the information some of the cousins have collected, long
before I started looking for William E (or A.) family. I've never been totally convinced that this is his family but we do have so little about him other
than he moved his family all over the place because he liked running cattle and that seemed to be all he cared about.
Will dig out my bigger file and see what else I had.
Beth

Hi! Are you related to Carney Moore born about l809 in North Carolina? His daughter, Minerva Moore, married John Foster and they are all buried in Izard County. I know Carney had about l7 children total. Sue
