> Bernie,
> I have found in researching my Pierson folks, many of the daughters
didn't marry until AFTER their parents had passed away. Sometimes in their
30's, even up till nearly in their 50's. I always thought that to be a bit
strange, but I guess they didn't need anyone to look after them until then.
Blood lines got short circuited there, as few of the women had children,
just married older widowers and took over those families, I guess, or were
glorified house keepers ?????

of second marriages named children after previous spouses, male & female.
All I can say is that the earlier marriages must have been happy ones to
want to continue the names.

> June,
> hope you have a good cup of coffee this morning. I got woke up by
thunder, again. If it weren't for the mosquitoes, and losing some of the
garden plants, I don't mind this ongoing rain we seem to keep having.
Mothers at the swimming pool put as much skeeter repellant on their kids as
they do sun block. We canned 56 quarts of green beans and made some candied
dill pickles this week. First picking of the beans, but if the rain doesn't
give us a break, might be the last. Personally, I'm waiting for the
Okra!!!!!
> Well, gonna try and get a quick nap in before the kids get up. They'd
rather stay indoors and drive gma crazy then put on bug spray and battle the
skeeters. The oldest one is so allergic to their bites, she's had both eyes
swelled shut from one bite, twice now. This last time it took nearly two
weeks for all the swelling to go down.
