Melba E. Marchant (1927-2007)
Melba Marchant, 80, of East Wenatchee, passed away on June 27, 2007, following a brief illness. She was born February 12, 1927, in Brockwell, AR to Oliver and Della (Campbell) Robins. She moved to Washington with her family in 1941, and made the Wenatchee Valley her home ever since. Melba married James Marchant on November 14, 1946. She was a member of King's Orchard Church of Christ and also attended Messiah Fellowship. She is survived by her son, Loye Marchant of Monitor; and daughter, Connie Marchant of Bremerton; a brother, Glen Robins of Lake Oswego, OR; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth "Doc" Robins and Linn Robins; sisters, Lilas Cochran and Joy Combs. A Graveside Service will be held at Wenatchee City Cemetery on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. Viewing will be held on Monday, July 2, 2007, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are in the care of Telford's Chapel of the Valley.
