Calico Rock Progress - Apr 23, 1943 - Jesse A. Wilson Dies following Heart
Attack

Jesse A. Wilson, of three miles northwest of Calico Rock, employed at timber
clearing work near Norfork dam, died of a heart attack near Jordan Saturday.
He complained of a hurting in his chest. He laid down in a truck and died a
short time later. He was 46 years of age.

Mr Wilson was born at Carlton, Kansas, but the greater part of his life was
spent in Benton County, Ark., where he was married to Miss Ada Pitts. He
came with his family to this vicinity six years ago. He was a member of the
Baptist church and took an active part in all church activities in his home
community.

Surviving are his parents of Centerton, Ark., his widow, four daughters and
six sons, Mrs Leila Drown of Pineville, Ark., Scott of the U. S. Navy,
William of the U. S. Army, Mrs Frances Jetton of Harrison, Ark., Charles,
Robert, Donald, Bonnie Jean, Patricia and Paul David, all of the home; also
three sisters, Mrs Clemia McKenzie of Fortescue, Mo., Mrs Mary Hutchinson
and Mrs Beulah Wright of Bentonville, Ark., and two brothers, Claude of
Centerton, Ark., and Jack of the U. S. Army.

Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, Rev J. C. Wilcox conducting the
services. Interment being in Staggs Cemetery
