Thanks, but my dear-- I don't hold a candle to Vera or to BettyMac!
Vera's obit collection has to be huge, plus she just focuses faster
and turns up the heat. Ancestry should give Vera, a prize.
It will be interesting to see if they log her service time and
when they do, they will be amazed)
BettyMac seems to me to be the determined researcher, answering
those long involved request letters. She just starts digging and before
you know it she has amassed a pile of info. I'm sure that some requesters
are just absolutely overwhelmed when they receive a packet from BettyMac.
I'm sure most of them just wonder where on the earth she looked to find all
that info <that they probably missed? if they looked in any of the right places
that BettyMac seems to come up with!>
God only points me in the right direction when something's time has come," to
be found". Like the man with the sweet story about Alonzo Durham whose
first wife was Nettie B. Durham (Vera's mystery woman!) Or the lady in North
Little Rock who knew the brother to Bernie's relative's husband who was the
oil rig worker.
My flash in the pan tiny successes should in no way be compaired to their
day after day repeated success stories of discovery. They are finding missing
persons everyday, where mine are just occasional, Bern!
Thanks anyway, and glad to know you have cutback some work load
(but what has expanded? or is expanding businesswise?) I know it isn't
stagnant! or ever status quo so...what's up?
Thanks again, Vera - as always you put the puzzle together faster than any
of the rest of us. Well, Beth is a close second! LOL
