I remember my Grandmother saying if a bird was in the house - that meant a
death. I've seen her chase one around inside the house, shooing it with her
apron until it went out a window or door. Also I believe she said the same
thing about an old hen crowing - I just know if a hen crowed, her head was
lopped off in a hurry and she went into the dumpling pot. Anyone else hear
of those old wives tales..........
