Cherokee Village, AR - Villager Journel

Boyce R.C. Haley, 86, of Zion died April 16, 2004, in Batesville.

Born Aug. 31, 1917, in Evening Shade, he was the son of Clarence Haley and
Amanda Taylor Haley.

He married Eva Edna Miller Haley July 4, 1936, in Bonetown, Ark., and to
this union two children were born. He spent his working years as a logger.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He attended Bear Creek
Methodist Church and was a member of the Antioch Lodge 241 for over 50
years.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law - Cathy and Mike Sharp of
Evening Shade; two sisters - Hazel Miller of Zion, and Flava Carter of
Evening Shade; a brother, Earl C. Haley of Evening Shade; a daughter-in-law,
Shire Ann Haley of Zion; four grandchildren - Karin Brown, Chris Haley,
Eddie Haley and William Harrington; and five great-grandchildren - Hannah
Brown, Johnathon Brown, Abbey Haley, Andrew Haley and Austin Harrington.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and a son, Danny Haley.

The funeral was April 18 at the Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in
Melbourne with Junior Wright and Gayle Johnson officiating. Burial was in
Antioch Cemetery in Zion with arrangements under the direction of Eddie's
Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Pallbearers were Dale Finley, Kenneth Frazier, Earnie Blackley, Rayburn
Finley, Brent Finley and Lonnie Haley.

Honorary pallbearers were Bob Haley, Ervin Ray Dover, J.W. Vest, Richard
Edward, Wes Brown, T.D. Ketron and O.T. Metliff.
