Calico Rock Progress - Apr 12, 1946 - Killed Near Gassville While Moving
House

Curtis Sharp, 24, ex-service man of near Mountain Home, was killed
Friday of last week while working with his brother in moving a house from
Norfork to Cotter. It was said his death appeared to have resulted from
coming in contact with a heavily charged electric line. He was sitting on
top of the house that was being moved by a large truck driver by his
brother, W. E. Sharp. Several stops were made to raise power lines to allow
the truck and house to pass. Failing to hear his brother's voice, warning of
stops to raise wires, W. E. Sharp stopped the truck and went back to
investigate. He found Curtis dead beside the road.
