June 13, 1924 - Died at Iuka Sunday

Mrs Gerusha (sp) Killian, age 76 years, mother of A. J. Killian and Mrs John
Dillard of this place, died at her home at Iuka last Sunday, the 8th,
following a brief illness.

Deceased was one of the pioneer residents of this part of the county, coming
here from Tennessee when quite small. She has lived in the vicinity of Iuka
practically all her life. She was a Christian woman, highly esteemed and
respected by all who knew her. She is survived by four sons and four
daughters, besides a large number of relatives.

The remains were laid to rest in the Moody Cemetery, near Iuka, Tuesday, in
the presence of a large gathering of friends. The funeral services were
conducted by Rev. Ewing Hall.
