Hi All,
Thanks all for your input. We think that Mary's listing of parent and
child is correct. A marriage record would help, but the obits and census
records do indicate that this is the correct mother for the children.
Below are two other obits about this family.
Our connection to the Cochran family runs like this:-
Ina Cochran married Jessie Owens [27 Mar 1913 - Jun 1984, Yakima WA - SSDI]
Jessie is the son of William Edward "Boss" Owens and Mary Florence
"Loner" Ware. This connection to the Cochran family is the reason my
Mother had Powell Cochran's obit.
On RootsWeb, Mary Watson Cochran's parents are given as George Watson
and Mary Nail. Mary's parents listed as Andrew J Nail and E.M. ?. This
Nail family is connected to our Ferrell family. William Lawson Nail
married Elizabeth Carolyn Ferrell. William Lawson Nail's parents were
Andrew Jackson Nail and Elizabeth Marguerite Brown.
Is there anyone who knows anything about George Watson?
