Hub Everett

OXFORD - Herbelee "Hub" Everett, 85, of Oxford died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, in a Batesville hospital.

Born Jan. 25, 1921, in Forty-four, he was the son of Joseph Ralph Everett and Nellie Frances Couch. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in France, Normandy, Europe and Rhineland. He was united in marriage to Norene Webb on Jan. 26, 1946, in Sage. He was a farmer and attended Brockwell Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Connie Everett, Curren Everett and Dennis Everett, all of Union, and Kenny Everett of Little Rock; two daughters, Gwen Lawrence of Melbourne and Jill Yancey of Wideman; a brother, Jerry Everett of El Paso; a sister, Wonnie Hallman of Washington; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Hairl Everett, Mark Everett, James Everett and Darrel Everett; and a sister, Caroline Watson.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Union Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.

Pallbearers will be Heath Everett, Jerad Everett, Marty Everett, Chad Everett, Clint Everett and Kyle Yancey.

Honorary pallbearers are Marshall Everett, Jack Adams, Kenny Morehead and Trey Lamb.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight.

Memorials may be made to the Union Cemetery fund.
